For dogs

The popular motto “leave no trace” is something to think about whether you and your pooch are walking through your neighborhood, strolling through the park or hiking in the mountains. Canines will naturally chase wildlife in all of these areas but keeping him on a leash will help ensure he doesn’t catch up to his prey. It’ll also help prevent any potential disturbances to local wildlife or newborn animals that may not have the energy reserves to deal with such a stress.

For cats

Cats have a natural prey drive. Keeping them indoors minimizes any hunting efforts and helps the environment. If your cat does occasionally escape outdoors, be sure to keep a loud bell on her collar or consider an outdoor cat enclosure And keeping your cat indoors won’t only benefit nature, it’ll also help protect your cat from the dangers of cars, predators, disease and other hazards. Plus, you and your feline can set aside some indoor playtime with toys that will satisfy her natural drives. It’s a win-win-win situation for you, your pet and the environment!
